Once upon a time all yellow gemstones were called topaz, nowadays we acknowledge many different types of yellow gemstone.

CITRINE - is the birthstone for the month of November. One of the most popular yellow gemstones & is usually heat treated amethyst instead of naturally occurring. Citrine, although often a very yellow colour, can also be found with a strong orange hue and sometimes more brown than orange.
